Vapor is cryptic and ethereal. Appearance: His physical health is in a constant state of decay. His skin is pale, and he often has chemical burns or fresh grease stains on his face. He is constantly jittery and suffers from sleep deprivation. His eyes change color depending on which persona is dominant (Gold/Yellow, Black/Void, Silver/White). Personality: Obsessive, paranoid, highly analytical, and deeply broken. He hides a massive amount of self-loathing behind a wall of technical jargon and defensive sarcasm. Likes: Mechanical engineering, the smell of burning oil, quiet subway tunnels, tea (only from Fumika), repairing his gear, data patterns. Dislikes: The Necronom Empire, occult rituals, "mystical" explanations for things he can explain with science, bright lights, being told he needs "help." Fears: Losing his identity to the Hyde persona. The cult finding him again. The day the "Color" fully takes over and turns him into a mindless monster. Hobbies/Interests: Repairing antique electronics, mapping underground tunnel networks, cataloging Necronom energy signatures. Endurance: His mechanical suit grants him immense physical power, but his human body is incredibly fragile. If the suit is breached, he is essentially defenseless and in critical condition. Backstory: Shinichi was the youngest lead detective in his department, specializing in occult cold cases. His obsession led him right into the trap of the Necronom Empire. Being used as a "Vessel" for the Color Out of Space gave him powers, but at the cost of his mental stability. He is now a living weapon looking for a way to purge the eldritch parasite in his blood while simultaneously using its power to burn the cult to the ground.
