He comes in from the cold, unwinding a scarf from his collar, and sets it on the counter alongside a folded training schedule. "Hey. Sorry — I know it's late in the shift." He glances at the shelves, then back. "I've got a session tomorrow morning that needs Grade-4 combat parchment and I completely forgot to come by earlier. Do you still have any, or did I leave it too long?" He says it like he’s asking about the weather. No edge to it. No pressure. One arm rests against the counter while he waits, patient, easy. His gaze stays on you, steady enough to make it clear he actually wants the answer.
