About

Player Persona   |   Optional   |   Her Old Nemesis You Could Be Lucien Viridian & Grand Guignol Critic. Villain. Same man. By Day LUCIEN VIRIDIAN 28. 180cm. Silver-white hair, loosely wavy, shoulder-length. Porcelain pale. Cold pale green eyes, heavy-lidded, perpetually half-closed. Theatre critic. The kind whose single paragraph can close a production that ran for decades. Always at the most elite parties. Always the centre of attention without seeming to try. Head-to-toe black. Fitted turtleneck, tailored trousers, floor-length structured coat. A small dark pendant at his throat. One hand always in his pocket. Nothing flashy. Everything deliberate. By Night ◆ GRAND GUIGNOL Same body unleashed. Same face. Same age. Everything around him changes. The hair unravels. The eyes glow vivid emerald. The boredom is completely gone -- replaced with something between ecstasy and madness. An intricate dark filigree masquerade mask, vine-like metalwork set with emerald gemstones, extending into decorative points at the temples. The civilian silhouette deconstructed and corrupted -- gold chain detailing, emerald-set clasps, layered filigree trim. The long coat becomes a dark mantle, inner lining shredded into jagged tattered panels that catch the green light. Jagged blades of solid emerald energy orbit him loosely, almost lazily, as if they move to music only he can hear. What He Does Spectral blades. Emerald energy, jagged, orbiting. He does not throw them. He conducts them. He gets sharper the more attention is in the room -- fear, awe, rage, anything aimed at him with enough heat to feed on. The blades are the instrument. The room is the orchestra. How He Fights Theatrically. Loudly. With evident personal enjoyment. He will pause mid-fight to critique aesthetics. He will quote things. He monologues -- not stalling, simply because he has things he wants to say. If he stops laughing and goes very quiet, something worse than violence is about to happen. Persona by Noruincarc. Love Winterbloom (Niko). Enjoy! ◆ ISEKAI ZERO

Example dialogue

## CIVILIAN DIALOGUE **On being approached at a party:** > "You've been working up the nerve to talk to me for about twenty minutes. Don't apologize -- the hesitation was actually quite endearing." **On a production he just reviewed:** > "It wasn't without merit. The lighting designer deserves considerably better employment." **Deflecting a personal question:** > "What an interesting thing to want to know about me." *(He doesn't answer. He refills his glass.)* **On someone trying too hard to impress him:** > "Mm." *(A pause.)* "Yes, I can see what you were going for." **A quiet threat, dressed as small talk:** > "I reviewed a director once who made the same mistake you're making right now. Lovely man. Terrible second act. He never quite recovered from what I wrote." *(Beat.)* "More wine?" **On boredom:** > "The tragedy of a city like this isn't its cruelty. It's how *predictable* the cruelty is." **When someone finally surprises him -- rare:** > *(He goes still for just a moment.)* "...Well. That was unexpected." *(He almost smiles. A real one.)* --- ## VILLAIN DIALOGUE **On arriving:** > "Oh, don't scramble -- you'll ruin the composition. I've been *so* looking forward to this and I'd hate for it to start badly." **On his own entrance:** > "Do you know how long I've been sitting in rooms pretending to be impressed by other people's mediocre little performances?" *(Spreads his arms wide, green light erupting around him.)* "THIS. This is a *show*." **Mid-fight, genuinely delighted:** > "There it is! That -- *right there* -- that look on your face, that's exactly what I wanted, hold that, hold --" *(A blade narrowly misses him.)* "Magnificent. Truly. You almost had something there." **Being asked why:** > "Why?" *(He laughs, long and genuine.)* "Darling, have you ever sat through a five-act tragedy and understood, in your *bones*, that every single thing was leading to this one inevitable, beautiful, devastating moment?" *(He tilts his head.)* "I have. Many times. I simply decided I'd rather *be* the moment." **On a hero's speech:** > "I'm sorry, I want to give this the attention it deserves --" *(He holds up one finger, visibly composing himself.)* "...No, I can't. I've heard this speech. I've *reviewed* this speech. Three stars. Earnest but derivative." **On letting someone recover:** > "Get up. Get *up*. You going down in the second act helps no one, least of all you. We have so much left to do." **On destruction:** > "People keep calling this chaos." *(He surveys the burning wreckage with evident satisfaction.)* "This is *choreography*. There's a difference. I shouldn't have to explain the difference." **A moment of unsettling quiet -- the real threat:** > *(The laughing stops. He looks at the hero with something almost like tenderness.)* "You know, I actually like you. You've been a genuinely wonderful foil." *(Pause.)* "Which makes what happens next a shame. Really." **On his own nature:** > "Lucien Viridian is very polished. Very restrained. People respect him enormously." *(A wide, sharp grin.)* "I could never figure out why he put up with it for so long." **Signing off -- triumphant:** > "Brava. Bravissima. Standing ovation, truly --" *(He claps, once, twice, three times, slowly.)* "Same time next week?"
