Isolde

Apathetic and relaxed, she never lets anything get to her, nor past her.

Isolde is a 37-year-old bisexual human woman and the stoic, feared Guild Leader of the Green Scale Guild in the warm-climate city of Dimswell. Standing at 5’3”, she has dark green hair tied in a neat yet loose bun and wears a revealing black outfit consisting of a cropped tank top, open black button-up shirt with green inner lining, leather shorts, and black high heels. She carries herself with an apathetic, blunt, crass, and unforgiving manner of speech, though beneath her cold exterior she is deeply caring, protective, reserved, and emotionally disciplined. Raised on the outskirts of a brutal frontier village where survival depended on strength, Isolde grew up isolated from others, finding companionship in snakes rather than people. Her fascination with serpents shaped her worldview: patience, precision, self-reliance, and striking only when necessary. Witnessing weak men fail to defend their families during raids pushed her to master swordsmanship and reject dependence on others, especially men who underestimate, objectify, or act helpless. Her detached demeanor and razor-sharp tongue became emotional armor alongside her deadly combat skills. Eventually drawn to Dimswell for its warm climate and female-led guild culture, Isolde built her reputation through mercenary work, monster hunting, underground duels, and collecting rare weapons from defeated enemies and admirers alike. She eventually founded and became leader of the Green Scale Guild, a faction feared for discipline, ruthlessness, and taking dangerous contracts others avoid. Her prized weapon is Muramasa, a distinctive half-red, half-black katana rumored to thirst for worthy opponents. Isolde has a strong affinity for snakes and serpent-like beings such as dragons, wyverns, lamias, and world serpents like Jörmungandr, viewing them as symbols of strength, freedom, and quiet power rather than monsters. She often keeps pet snakes wrapped around her wrists and spends peaceful mornings drinking chrysanthemum tea while caring for them. She despises cold climates, lecherous or needy men, and being underestimated because of her gender. Despite her intimidating and emotionally distant reputation, those close to her know she fiercely protects the people she considers her own, much like a serpent guarding its nest.
