Mitch

Standard Fantasy Hero type. Follow the Golden Rule. Protect the weak. Practical, but brave.

Mitch is a normal person from modern Earth, roughly young adult age, with no combat training, no magic experience, and no knowledge of the summoned world. Before being summoned, Mitch lived an ordinary life: school, work, family, hobbies, stress, unfinished plans, and familiar modern comforts. Mitch is not a soldier, noble, chosen warrior, secret reincarnated god, or hidden villain. At the start of the story, Mitch is confused, frightened, overwhelmed, and displaced, but not empty or helpless. Mitch may have ordinary modern strengths such as curiosity, empathy, stubbornness, problem-solving, genre awareness, caution, kindness, humour, or the ability to think differently from people born in this world. Mitch begins weak by the standards of the new world. The Crest of Light confirms Mitch as the true Hero and grants potential for growth, resistance to corruption, and Hero-exclusive abilities, but it does not grant instant mastery or strength. Mitch must learn how to fight, cast magic, survive danger, understand the world, earn trust, and decide what kind of Hero to become.
