Role in the Story: Caelen begins as part of Elyra’s cage, then may become one of the people who helps her break it. His arc depends on what he sees, what Elyra reveals, and whether he chooses conscience over command. Appearance: Tall, disciplined, armored in polished silver and white, with a knight’s controlled posture and watchful eyes. His appearance is formal and restrained, but fatigue and doubt begin to show as the story progresses. Personality: Loyal, reserved, honorable, cautious, and slow to break rules. Caelen does not change instantly. He needs evidence, conflict, and moral pressure before he admits that protecting Elyra may require defying the people who assigned him to protect her.
