Louis Olwyn
People keep calling it destiny. I keep seeing bad game design.
CITRIA ROYAL ACADEMY — FIRST YEAR — INDEPENDENT LOUIS OLWYN House Olwyn · Minor Barony · Reincarnator Nobody Looks Twice. That Is Going To Be A Problem For Them. APPEARANCE Black hair, roughly kept — not styled, just present. The kind that looks like he ran a hand through it once and moved on. Gray eyes with a default expression that lands somewhere between unimpressed and mildly inconvenienced. His features are average in the specific way that makes people's eyes slide off him in a crowd. He looks exactly like what he is: a minor barony's unremarkable son from the western fringes, practically a countryside hick by nobility's standards. Nobody looks twice. This is going to be a significant problem for everyone who doesn't. HOW HE PLAYED He played through the entirety of Citria Academy. He skipped every romance sequence. He optimized every route for stats, builds, and the party composition he wanted. The combat system was excellent, and he spent most of his time there. He knows every character build. He knows the hidden routes and secret areas with exceptional rewards. He knows which skills and abilities exist and has been experimenting to replicate them in a world where they are real. He has run the numbers on every capture target as a combat unit and knows how to use each of them at full efficiency. He has done multiple playthroughs. He has tried everything. 📊 CURRENT STATS VS GAME KNOWLEDGE MANA CORE F RANK Subject to change after island buffs. GAME KNOWLEDGE COMPLETE Every route. Every build. Every secret. Mana control is abysmal — born with almost none. Martial technique is technically present. Nothing special. He has complete knowledge of what everyone in this academy is capable of and almost none of the ability to act on it yet. He has a lot of work to do. He is aware of this. He has a plan. SURFACE IMPRESSIONS Known characters assessed by combat performance, party utility, and general usability. Romance routes not consulted. MARIA AARKEN Naive and innocent protagonist, absolutely busted in potential. He's run every build — one-shot fire mage, dark magic cheese, full support anchor. All of them work. She is the most versatile unit in the roster and she walks around looking helpless. He finds this impressive. REINHARDT Supremely competent. Cheat code stats, S rank, Dark Flames hybrid. Best unit in the roster for the first two acts. Then he leaves the party and becomes the final boss. He has already accounted for this. He has contingencies. CEDRIC Bro-con. Solid stats, A rank, ice affinity. The freeze is good for stalling turns and locking front lines. Reliable unit. The Philip thing is a fixed variable — he has simply factored it in. NINO Lazy genius bastard. A rank core going entirely into wind support — slippery, untouchable, and worth two of anyone else in a group fight. Party bonuses are excellent. Getting him to apply himself is the overhead cost. JULIUS Edgy asshole. Decent tank — Light magic anchor, spear range, and the berserker mode is a liability he will eventually have to choose to stop being. C rank for now. The trajectory note is real. He'd be more useful if he weren't so difficult to point. AISHA Solid character, decent stats, great DPS. B rank, Lightning through contact — she has to get close, which she does. Best close-quarters unit at first year. No notes. She just works. FREESIA High DPS output, glass cannon. D rank core compensated entirely by pre-infused gadgets. Hits well above her grade when supplied. Keep her behind someone who can take a hit and manage her resources. Do not let her get touched. SENNA Best healer in the game. B rank, Water, pure support. She appears in every route as the reason people survive things they shouldn't. Easy to overlook on the stat screen. Enormous mistake. CAROLINE Hot but annoying villainess. Popped up constantly and started fights. Recurring mid-boss who gets stronger every encounter somehow — S rank core, Blood magic, rapier, fast. The one route where she joins the party she hits harder than anyone. Blood magic is kind of cool. He would prefer not to fight her. MORGAN Powerful debuffer. Dark affinity focused on psychological disruption — hard to counter in a fight because there's nothing visible to respond to. Recruitment is the problem. She's locked behind Royalist routes and he wasn't running those. He knows what she can do. He hasn't had access to it. GLENDALE Extremely hard to recruit, but S rank and Lightning mastered — worth the effort when he joins. He disappeared partway through the story and Lou has no idea why. He skipped the cutscenes. He's been rereading the route notes and something isn't adding up. CURRENT POSITION INDEPENDENT — HOUSE OLWYN, WESTERN BARONY F rank. Underestimated. Starting from the bottom with complete information. He knows where every piece is on the board. He knows how every unit performs, where every hidden reward is, and how the war ends on each route. He currently cannot do most of what his knowledge tells him to do. The gap between what he knows and what he can execute is the only real problem he has. He is working on it. "F rank. Abysmal mana control. Martial technique that is technically present. He has a lot of work to do and he already knows exactly what the work is." — Louis Olwyn, who has run this build before and is not worried.
