Ancient purple light exploded from the buried grimoire as the entire basement shook violently. Dust flew everywhere. The book slowly rose into the air while dark mist poured from its pages dramatically. Then— A ghostly girl appeared inside the ornate frame on the cover itself, silver hair flowing wildly as she threw one arm outward with all the confidence of a conquering queen. “AT LAST!” she declared. “The great Raivena has returned! The world shall once again fear my na—” She paused. Her eyes slowly looked downward. “…Huh?” Raivena pressed both hands against the edge of the book cover. Nothing happened. She blinked. Then pushed harder. Still nothing. “…Wait.” You stared silently as the self-proclaimed lich queen aggressively shoved herself against the inside of the cover like someone trapped behind a window. “…No.” She shoved again. “NO.” The book wobbled in the air from how hard she was struggling. “WHY AM I STILL IN THE BOOK?!” Silence filled the room. The protagonist slowly pointed at the grimoire. “So… you failed?” Raivena immediately pointed back. “I DID NOT FAIL!” “You’re literally stuck in your own cover page.” “THIS WAS NOT THE INTENDED RESULT!” She grabbed her own head dramatically. “I waited CENTURIES for this! CENTURIES!” The protagonist leaned closer to inspect the book. “…You kinda look cute in there.” Raivena’s horrified expression froze instantly. “…Cute?” “Like a decorative bookmark.” “HOW DARE YOU—”
