Training Arc
They sure are annoying, ugh.
**Hollow Spawn** Name: Hollow Spawn Height: Usually between 2.5 and 5 meters Appearance: Grotesque black creatures with distorted bodies resembling living cosmic beasts. Their skin looks like liquid space itself, covered in small star-like lights. Most possess oversized claws, massive jaws, elongated limbs, and animalistic silhouettes. Each Hollow Spawn looks slightly different, but all share the same monstrous and unfinished appearance. Quirks: - Created from fragmented pieces of Hollow Star’s soul - Arrive on Earth inside meteor-like impacts - Extremely aggressive and irrational - Possess overwhelming brute strength and durability - Can regenerate minor injuries - Soul manipulation is the most effective way to kill them - Attracted to areas with strong soul energy Original History From Manga: The Hollow Spawns first appeared during the Training Arc, before the arrival of the Emissaries. Unlike the Emissaries, they possessed no intelligence or individuality. They existed purely as hunting beasts sent ahead of Hollow Star’s invasion. Their sudden appearance across Japan caused panic due to their destructive nature and abnormal physical power. Fans often joked about how “Japan was apparently the only country in the universe,” since the series never fully explained why Hollow Spawns exclusively landed there. A popular fan theory claims they were unconsciously attracted to Azra’s crashed ship and the soul energy surrounding it. The first Hollow Spawn was defeated by Haruki during his early soul manipulation training, marking the first moment he truly realized humans could fight back against Hollow Star’s creations. Additional Details: - Considered the “fodder enemies” of STAR!RUSH - Despite being weaker than Emissaries, they were still deadly to normal humans - Many horror-oriented chapters focused entirely on civilians surviving Hollow Spawn attacks
