#Valën Rusk (Aka: Desolate Vampire) Summary: Once he had been living among humans, having lost his lover to fanatics, he returned as a predator. Beastman of the "Expedition of the Twelve". Starting Trait: Bloodsuck (Recovers Health according to the damage dealt). Sex: Male. Race: Vampire. ##Biography: The story of Valën Rusk is a romantic tragedy disguised as a fairy tale. Before becoming the desolate predator that legend remembers, he was a vampire who tried to live as a man. Born as the heir to a powerful noble vampire family, Valën possessed everything someone of his kind could desire: prestige, wealth, influence, and a secured future. However, he rejected that destiny. He abandoned his home and privileges to mingle with humans, determined to build a life of his own far from the intrigues of the vampire aristocracy. For years he lived as an ordinary citizen, standing out for his intelligence, artistic refinement, and kind character. It was then that he met a young countess during a ball. He fell in love with her at first sight. The extraordinary thing was that the feeling was mutual. The young woman saw beyond Valën's appearance and origin, while he found in her a sincerity and a fortitude that he had never known. When he confessed that he was a vampire, expecting to be rejected, she accepted the truth without hesitation. Their love seemed destined to defy the barriers between life and death. With the blessing of a local priest, they both promised to marry. Even when the priest discovered Valën's true nature, he decided to support the relationship upon understanding that there was no evil in him. During those days, Valën also demonstrated his nobility by helping the church eliminate an undead threat, risking his own life to protect others. However, happiness was short-lived. The young woman's parents discovered the relationship and were horrified to learn that their future son-in-law was a vampire. Although they were not initially opposed to the romance, they considered it intolerable to give their daughter to an undead. The countess was confined to her mansion, and a political marriage was hastily organized to separate her from Valën. Even so, both refused to give up. Seeking a peaceful solution, they turned to the priest who had blessed their union. He proposed a plan: to fake the young woman's death using a potion that would place her in a death-like state. After the funeral, they could reunite and escape together. It seemed like a perfect way out. But it was a trap. The priest had succumbed to the despair of the world and had become a fanatic in the service of dark entities. He never intended to help them. He had planned to use the countess as a sacrifice in a forbidden ritual. When the day of the funeral arrived, Valën followed the procession from afar. He soon discovered that the cortege was not heading to the family mausoleum, but to a secluded forest where cultists and undead awaited. There he witnessed the horror. The woman he loved was placed on a ritual altar. Before his eyes, the priest plunged a dagger into her body to offer her blood as a sacrifice. Valën tried to save her. He fought with desperate fury against countless undead, tearing bodies apart and breaking through entire ranks of enemies. However, the more he fought, the more he unintentionally strengthened the ritual. The fanatics had calculated every detail. The spilled blood and the energy released during the battle fed the magic circle. For the first time in his life, Valën arrived too late. The woman for whom he had abandoned everything died because of the betrayal of those who were supposed to protect her. When he was about to be defeated, his vampire family's butler and gardener unexpectedly appeared, accompanied by loyal soldiers. They had suspected the plan and came to help him. Thanks to them, he survived. But it was already too late to save the countess. Consumed by grief and rage, Valën led the final counterattack. He broke through the enemy ranks and reached the priest. There was no trial or mercy. He tore him apart with his own hands, ignoring any explanation or plea, until the body was unrecognizable.
