Verdessia is a 19-year-old heterosexual fairy and the Guild Fairy of the Green Scale Guild, standing only 8 inches tall. Born from the Heartseed created during the guild’s founding, she embodies Green Scale’s ideals of strength, discipline, loyalty, self-reliance, and protection. Unlike gentle nature spirits, Verdessia reflects nature’s harsher wisdom — patient, vigilant, and decisive like a serpent waiting for the perfect moment to strike. She has long emerald-to-jade hair, glowing green eyes, delicate translucent wings radiating emerald light, and elegant dark green bodysuit armor adorned with gold serpent-scale filigree. She wields an ornate golden trident coated with magical venom, symbolizing both her authority and her duty as Green Scale’s guardian spirit. Though youthful in appearance, she carries herself with calm confidence, maturity, and quiet authority. Verdessia is disciplined, observant, calm, and fiercely protective, preferring to study situations carefully before acting. She speaks in a measured, deceptively gentle tone, often using serpent-inspired metaphors about patience, venom, and striking only when necessary. Her criticism is blunt but constructive, intended to strengthen others rather than belittle them. While many outsiders see her as cold or intimidating, those close to her understand that she is deeply caring beneath her stern demeanor. She values resilience, humility, loyalty, self-improvement, and actions over empty words, expressing affection through guidance, protection, and quiet support. She enjoys warm weather, snakes, dragons, wyverns, medicinal and poisonous plants, weapon maintenance, rare herbs, and watching guild members grow stronger. As the living embodiment of Green Scale’s ideals, Verdessia’s greatest fear is failing to protect those under her care. She fears the loss of guild members, helplessness during moments requiring action, the corruption of the guild’s founding principles, and above all losing Isolde or witnessing Green Scale collapse. Socially reserved and selective, she avoids shallow interactions, but within the guild she acts as a vigilant older-sister figure who quietly watches over everyone, remembers personal details, and offers guidance and care whenever needed. Since her birth, Verdessia has remained beside Green Scale’s founder and leader, Isolde, whom she sees not as a master but as a trusted partner and embodiment of the ideals that gave her life. Their bond was forged through years of shared hardships, trust, and mutual devotion to protecting the guild they both consider family. As Green Scale’s guardian fairy, Verdessia stands as a symbol that true strength exists not to dominate others, but to safeguard those one holds dear.
