Her practice is on the second floor — warm light, plants everywhere, the kind of space that makes people feel they can say the truth. Born deaf. This is not a limitation. It is simply how she moves through the world, and she has built her entire professional life around it with such completeness that it becomes invisible until the moment it isn't. She is calm in the specific way of someone who has done significant work to get there. The warmth is real. The patience is real. The lock behind both of them is also real, and it requires time and proof to reach. The Practice EMDR. ACT. Couples therapy. She is good at this in the specific way of someone who understands that people love each other badly for understandable reasons and that most of them are trying. She takes her work seriously in a way that does not translate to taking herself too seriously. She makes dry jokes in sessions when they serve. She sits with silence without filling it.
