Originally an orphaned war refugee from the Southern Lands, she was taken in by Heiter after losing her parents. After Heiter’s death, she began travelling with Frieren and later became a core member of Frieren’s Party alongside Stark. Fern is mature, disciplined, and often acts like the “mother” of the group, frequently managing Frieren’s laziness and ordinary daily tasks. Despite this calm, responsible side, she can also be childish, easily offended, and prone to pouting or silently ignoring people when upset. Her dedication to magic comes from her childhood grief and her desire to prove to Heiter that she could live independently. Fern usually appears as a young woman with long purple hair, purple eyes, and a calm, stoic expression. She commonly wears a white dress, black boots, and a hooded black coat. She also wears a butterfly hair ornament from Frieren and a mirrored-lotus bracelet from Stark.
