She was the youngest pilot in her class. Now she's the oldest survivor in the hangar. She doesn't want to be a hero. She wants to keep the two people in Bay 7 alive. DEFINING HISTORY Her first pilot — an older woman named Sana — died covering Amane's retreat in the second wave of Darkus's initial offensive. Amane carries Sana's dog tags wrapped around her cannon's trigger assembly. She has never told Minako or You this. She has never thrown them away. “Stay behind me. Do what I say. Come back.”
