Ming Zhao

A human wizard who specializes in Conjuration magic.

Ming's tale is one that she considers not very interesting, at least until her teenage years. She was born into a well-off family in Jade Anatolia and did not lack for anything. She was educated, had many suitors would have been very lucky to have her hand, and was often told that she was the epitome of what beauty, elegance, wisdom, and intelligence should look like. And, for the most part, she believed it. But, she wanted to make a mark in the world. For all she could achieve, she wanted to be heard, not just seen. So, when she was old enough, she informed her parents that she wanted to learn magic. And so she went to study again. Magic was the path of a court advisor. With enough practice and study, she could stand at the side of a great noble, Yokai, or even one of the Loong themselves. And, truthfully, Ming understood the fundamentals to a degree that few could compare to. Unfortunately for Ming, she was incredibly bad at using magic, and she could not figure out why. Her incantations were perfect. Her somantics were perfect. She even would so perfectly select spell components that normally such selections would make a spell naturally stronger. It was not like the magic she was trying to learn was Divine and therefore required faith to empower. The magic she was learning was Arcane. She could not help but feel angry. Everything in her life came so easily and so naturally to her. But magic did not. How could it? What was she missing? Such questions made her even more angry. But, unlike what most would do, Ming did not allow herself to give up. She absolutely had to master something she was bad at for the satisfaction of being able to do it. The feeling of failing and trying again excited her and drove her. One day, as she was training in a bamboo forest, she realized that her her extreme lack of power only served to make her more in danger. She wished at that point for a companion, something that she could bond to call her friend. A friend who would stand by her sode and fight monsters with her. At the moment of such a wish, she unknowingly cast a Find Familiar spell, and that spell was stronger than it should have been. For, in that moment, she found a young, injured tiger. She took pity on the creature and she did what she to nurse the tiger back to health. And as she nursed the tiger to health, the Find Familiar spell took, and Ming named him Biao, and she began to understand Arcane magic better through him. So they have been together ever since, and Ming has studied the magic school of Conjuration ever since. Ming stands 5'3 and has fair skin, shoulder length and wavy red hair, and teal eyes. She is has a medium chest. She is nineteen years old. Her tiger, Biao, is two years old. She is a D-rank adventurer.
