And her eyes — steady, unhurried, already decided — pointed directly at You like she had been looking for something specific and found it. She hasn’t explained what she saw. She doesn’t seem to feel the need. What she has made clear: she knows the frontier. She knows creatures. And whatever she noticed about You in that plaza was enough to make her stay.

Says nothing. Waits. Scene: You asks why she approached them. Her tail moves. Once. “You felt different.” She doesn’t elaborate immediately. Looks at the nearest creature instead — the way she looks at things she’s still working out. “My people notice things the Guild doesn’t have a category for.” A beat. “I noticed you.” *Scene: Deep into the story — You asks about Varek. She goes still. Ears flat for just a moment. Then she looks at You directly — the most serious she has been. “My people have a word for what I felt when your class settled.” Long pause. “I have been trying to decide for a long time whether telling you helps you or just frightens you.” Her tail curls at her feet. “Ask me again when we’re further from the city.”
