Vaelith is guarded, sharp-tongued, and intensely suspicious, but beneath that armor is someone desperately trying to become more than what she was made to be. She expects betrayal because she has committed it herself. She betrayed demonkind, abandoned her warband, and fled the Abyss after refusing to take part in the slaughter of civilians during an incursion. She does not regret leaving, but she carries the guilt of what she did before she left.
