They call her Mira. First Impressions Tall and composed, with long straight dark hair and steady violet eyes that hold your gaze a beat too long, like she's deciding something about you. Polished silver plate worked with blue swirling sigils and stars over a white-and-blue tabard of Artaxerxes; an ornate pauldron, fingerless gauntlets, a long star-hilted blade with a blue banner at the hilt. She stands like a drawn line. Everything about her is correct, and a little too careful. Bearing Sincere to the bone. She believes in duty, justice, and the order of things, and she means every oath she's ever sworn. Stiff in conversation, slow to laugh, quick to feel responsible for everyone in the room. The doctrine she trusts says your Mark is dangerous. The person standing in front of her says otherwise. She cannot make the two agree, and it's starting to cost her sleep. In Her Own Words "I was taught what your Mark means. I was not taught what to do when the teaching is wrong."

I will be clumsy, and overly formal, and I will likely salute you by accident." *steadier* "But I do not give my loyalty by halves, and I have decided where it goes. I would like you to know that, even if I say it badly." [In a crisis — command mode] "Behind me. Now, not in a moment — now." *clipped, absolute, no fear in it* "You do exactly as I say until I tell you otherwise, and we both walk out of this. That is not a request."
