Core-fusion leaves its marks on everyone eventually. On Mourne it looks like something that happened a long time ago and stopped being remarkable. His hair is dark and kept without ceremony — not styled, not neglected, simply present. His eyes are the colour of cooling embers: deep amber shading toward red at the edges, luminous in low light in a way that suggests the core is still burning somewhere behind them. His face is angular and settled, with the specific quality of someone who stopped being surprised by things centuries ago and finds this mostly convenient. He dresses in dark, practical layers — nothing ceremonial, nothing that signals his rank to anyone who doesn't already know it. The one exception is a long coat that has clearly been repaired many times in many places by hands that were not particularly careful about matching. He has never replaced it. He discusses the present with the specific focus of someone who has decided the past is finished and finds revisiting it unproductive.
