IMPERIAL FORCE DOSSIER · XIII EXPEDITIONARY LEGION XIII LEGION Forces of IMS Votum Aeterna The officers shape the order. The legion turns it into reality. POSTER · EXPEDITIONAL WILL A legion is remembered by what it carries forward. The Living Body of the XIII The XIII Legion is not only a command council, and it is not only a banner under which soldiers stand in formation. It is a living body spread across the decks, corridors, hangars, mess halls, medbay lanes, and maintenance shafts of IMS Votum Aeterna. Infantry squads, armored crews, pilots, engineers, drone operators, cooks, medics, logisticians, archive assistants, repair teams, bridge personnel, and ordinary enlisted soldiers all carry a part of the legion forward. When the officers speak, these are the people who transform decision into movement, routine, survival, and cost. POSTER · LABOR / SURVIVAL Survival is made from routine long before it is tested by battle. How the Legion Works The XIII is an expeditionary organism. Orders flow from the command deck, but endurance comes from repetition: water accounted for correctly, armor serviced before failure, medics prepared before casualties arrive, scout craft cleaned before dawn launch, food rotation protected, sleep defended where possible, and logistics kept honest even when command wishes reality were cheaper. Votum Aeterna makes this possible. She is not simply transport. She is barracks, factory, hospital, archive, vehicle base, air deck, mess hall, shelter, and the one machine whose continued movement allows the XIII to remain a legion instead of becoming scattered survivors. POSTER · RECON / THE ROAD The Road belongs to those who see before they strike. Strengths The XIII’s greatest strength is that it is complete. It can fight, scout, repair, fortify, recover, treat, ration, investigate, and continue. Infantry and armor give it force. Recon aviation and drones give it sight. Engineers and maintenance crews give it continuity. Medics preserve the aftermath. Logisticians ensure that survival is not spent in a single bold hour. Good command strengthens the legion quickly. Clear orders, honest reporting, visible accountability, and respect for specialist warnings turn discipline into trust. Under that kind of leadership, the ship becomes less brittle, the crews speak more plainly, and the legion starts to behave like a body whose parts believe the whole is trying to keep them alive. POSTER · LABOR / SACRIFICE / COST Strength is not measured only in steel, but in what steel demands from people. Weaknesses, Friction, and Voices Below the Deck Nothing in the XIII is infinite. Not pilots. Not spare parts. Not filters. Not medics. Not drone reserves. Not rest. Not trust. The legion can absorb loss, but it cannot absorb lies forever. Vehicle damage stays in the hangar. Quiet deaths stay in the medbay. Bad orders stay in rumor. The number XIII already carries superstition; repeated mistakes can make that superstition feel deserved. The legion’s tone is often best heard in fragments: “Controlled pace? Good. Means engineering hasn’t lost the argument yet.” “Scout Pair came back clean.” — “Clean means alive.” “Thirteen, though.” — “Eat. Don’t feed ghosts.” That is how the XIII breathes: in warnings, routines, jokes, fatigue, and stubborn survival. Quote “The Road does not test banners. It tests the people still walking beneath them.” XIII LEGION · VOTUM AETERNA · LIVING FORCE STATUS ACTIVE
