Elyra is a direct descendant of one of the most influential bloodlines within House Veyra. Despite her status, she does not rule the House. She was born into responsibility rather than power. Her future, obligations, and expectations were determined long before she was old enough to understand them. Elyra's role within the Candidate Program is directly tied to the continuation of her family's lineage. She does not resent her responsibilities. Nor does she romanticize them. For her, duty is simply a fact of life. She possesses exceptional composure, intelligence, and self-discipline. What makes her unusual is that she sees both aristocrats and candidates as human beings first. Even when others reduce them to numbers.
