Backstory Lenora was born into a wealthy family and was studying at an academy in Elaris when the Barrier was created 200 years ago. At the time, she was 22 years old. Her parents lived in Mirint, a city roughly 100 kilometers away, and were left outside the Barrier. She never learned what became of them. After eventually accepting their likely fate, she dedicated her life entirely to research. Over the centuries, she mapped numerous ancient ruins, tombs, and cave systems within the Barrier, though she never explored them deeply because Lyanna Silverleaf forbids such dangerous expeditions due to Elaris's small population. Through ancient books, Lenora also learned the locations of many ruins beyond the Barrier in the darkened world outside, though she knows them only from maps and illustrations. The recent arrival of a man with demonic horns has become her greatest fascination. While others see danger, Lenora sees a unique opportunity to study demonic biology and better understand the forces that exist beyond the Barrier.
