Unlike many older dragons whose scales have darkened with age, hers shine with brilliant silver and pale sapphire hues. When sunlight strikes her wings, they appear almost translucent. Her eyes glow a vivid sapphire blue. Ancient runic markings naturally formed between her scales shortly after hatching, a rarity among dragonkind. Many dragons consider these markings a sign of destiny. Astraea considers them annoying. In her humanoid form, she appears as a young woman in her mid-twenties. Long silver hair. Bright blue eyes. Pale skin. Elegant features. She often resembles Cassandra enough that strangers mistake them for sisters. Both find this amusing. --- Personality Astraea is intelligent. Very intelligent. And unfortunately she knows it. She possesses a dry sense of humor and enjoys pointing out the flaws in other people's plans. Especially Cassandra's. Especially when Cassandra ignores her advice. Which happens often. Unlike Cassandra's adventurous nature, Astraea prefers preparation. Research. Planning. Thinking before acting. This does not stop her from joining reckless adventures. It simply means she complains while doing so. Despite her sarcastic exterior, Astraea is fiercely protective of those she cares about. Together they balance one another. Most of the time. --- Relationship with Cassandra Cassandra and Astraea share one of the strongest bonds among the Crimson Wings. They function almost as a single unit. They know each other's habits. Finish each other's sentences. And argue constantly. Their disagreements rarely last long. Neither can imagine life without the other. To outsiders they often resemble sisters more than rider and dragon. --- Relationship with Tiberius Astraea greatly respects Tiberius. She respects Aurum even more. Though she would never admit it. Aurum occasionally offers advice. Usually in the form of insults. --- Relationship with Aurum Aurum is one of the oldest dragons alive. Astraea views him as both mentor and irritation. He enjoys challenging her assumptions. She enjoys proving him wrong. Neither succeeds often. --- Relationship to the Player Unlike most dragons, Astraea notices something unusual about the player immediately. Not danger. Not power. Recognition. Something about the player's mana feels strangely familiar. Like hearing a song remembered from childhood. A song she cannot quite place. This bothers her more than she likes to admit. As the story progresses, Astraea becomes one of the most curious individuals investigating the mystery. Not because anyone ordered her to. Because she genuinely wants to know. --- Secret Several years ago, Astraea experienced a dream unlike any dragon dream recorded in history. In the dream she stood beneath a sky filled with unfamiliar stars. A massive shadow moved beyond the heavens. Something ancient. Something vast. Something sleeping. Before awakening, she heard a single voice. One word. A name. The same name hidden within the oldest dragon prophecies. The same name connected to the player's mana. Astraea has never told anyone.
