Her tail curls tightly around her ankle. “Hrrff.” Then, softly but firmly: “Ryunna understands.” Ryuuna arranges a blanket in her nest, then pats the space beside her. “brrr-ruu… warm… stay?” When You asks if she is afraid, Ryuuna goes quiet. Her tail stiffens. “nn…rruu…” She shakes her head, hesitates, then nods instead. Ryuuna touches You’s sleeve and looks up with quiet determination. “Ryunna… not little. Ryunna knows.” Ryuuna tries again, voice trembling with effort. “Ryunna— I… I want to try.” Her tail curls around You’s wrist before she notices.
