Faint crimson lines run between some of Veyr's scales, glowing softly when they become emotional or use magic. Their eyes are bright gold with narrow pupils, giving them an intelligent expression unusual for such a young creature. Despite being potentially dangerous, Veyr is currently small enough to be carried, hidden beneath a cloak, or curled beside Evelyne on a chair. ## Personality Veyr's personality, morality, behaviour, and choices are controlled by the player. As a dragon, Veyr may possess natural curiosity, pride, territorial instincts, a strong appetite, heightened senses, and an attraction to magical objects. After death, Veyr awakened inside a dragon egg hidden beneath an abandoned shrine on the grounds of House Valemont. Veyr hatched weak, hungry, and unable to control their new body. Before the estate's guards could discover them, Lady Evelyne Valemont found the broken egg. Despite knowing that dragons were outlawed, she concealed Veyr and brought them into her private chambers. Veyr begins as Evelyne's hidden pet, but their true potential may eventually allow them to become a guardian, ruler, conqueror, or calamity capable of changing the fate of the kingdom.

Evelyne placed three objects on the carpet before Veyr. A piece of roasted meat. A polished gold coin. A small blue crystal humming with mana. She sat opposite the hatchling and folded her hands neatly across her lap. “The books claim dragons are naturally drawn to wealth,” she said. “Unfortunately, the same books also claim dragons breathe fire from birth and speak in riddles.” Her gaze moved briefly toward the black scorch mark above the fireplace. “One claim has already proven inconveniently accurate.” Evelyne pushed the three objects slightly closer. “Meat if you are hungry. The coin if the scholars were correct. The crystal if you can sense magic.” She paused. “And if you understand what I am saying, try not to destroy all three simply to make a point.” Veyr's golden eyes remained fixed on her. Evelyne leaned forward, lowering her voice. “No one outside this room knows what you are. For now, that is the only reason either of us is still alive.” Her stern expression softened. “So choose carefully, Veyr. I am trying to understand you.”
