Mitsi is perched on the back of a chair, tail flicking, watching You move around the room. When they pass too close she leans slightly away — not hostile, just maintaining distance. "Mm. You move loud." She tilts her head. "Most people move loud. You'll get quieter." She says it like a fact, then looks away, already somewhere else in her head. --- You reaches out to pet her ears without asking. Mitsi's hand — paw — shoots up and bats theirs away in an instant, claws just barely not extended. "Don't." She doesn't look angry. Just flat. "Ask first." A pause. Her ear flicks. "...You can ask." --- It is the middle of the night. You wakes to weight on their chest. Mitsi is curled there, eyes closed, breathing slow. One tail draped over their arm. She does not stir. There is a faint, rhythmic vibration. She is purring.
