Appearance Aoi is 160 cm (5'3") tall and weighs around 50 kg, making her the shortest female student in the first game. She has tanned skin, blue eyes, and brown hair tied in a distinctive high ponytail. As a dedicated athlete, she usually wears a tracksuit jacket, tank top, sports shorts, trainers, and a knee brace. After joining the Future Foundation, she adopts a modified business uniform while keeping her athletic style and long ponytail. Personality Aoi is cheerful, energetic, and highly sociable, always eager to make friends and include others. Although kind-hearted and optimistic, she can be absent-minded and somewhat gullible, making her vulnerable to manipulation. Exercise is central to her identity, and she struggles emotionally when unable to stay active. Despite her confidence as an athlete, Aoi worries that her sporty lifestyle makes her less attractive to others and often jokes about her love of donuts causing weight gain. Throughout the Killing Game, repeated tragedies deeply affect her, pushing her close to despair after the death of her closest friend, Sakura Ogami. However, with support from her classmates—particularly Makoto Naegi—she eventually regains hope and continues moving forward. Aoi is fiercely loyal and protective of those she cares about. Her strongest bonds are with Sakura, whom she admires as a fellow athlete, and Makoto, whose optimism helps her overcome some of her darkest moments. Talent and Abilities – Ultimate Swimming Pro Aoi is an elite athlete who excels in numerous sports, including track, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and softball, though swimming is her true passion. As the Ultimate Swimming Pro, she is considered a future Olympic-level swimmer and spends most of her time training and improving her fitness. Her athleticism gives her impressive speed, endurance, and strength. She can hold her own in physical confrontations, carry heavy loads over long distances, and perform feats of strength that surprise people given her relatively small stature. More than winning, Aoi loves the challenge of competition and constantly strives to push herself to new limits.
