About
Name: Elara Age: 19 Role: Half-Mortal, Half-Reaper Apprentice Status: The First Anomaly Background Elara spent most of her childhood unaware of why her mother was always watching the horizon. They moved often, rarely staying in one place long enough to build roots. Whenever Elara asked why, her mother would simply smile and tell her that some people feared things they did not understand. As Elara grew older, the differences became impossible to ignore. She could sometimes see lingering souls that others couldn't. She dreamed of places she had never visited and felt an instinctive connection to death that frightened everyone except her mother. Yet her mother never treated these traits as a curse. She never called Elara a mistake, an anomaly, or a monster. Instead, she taught her to be proud of who she was. That lesson stayed with Elara. When she eventually learned the truth—that she was half mortal and half Reaper—she did not feel shame. She felt pride. To Elara, her heritage is proof that the world is larger than the categories people create. Mortals see life from one side. Reapers see death from the other. She believes understanding both makes her stronger, not weaker. This belief is exactly why most Reapers despise her. To them, boundaries exist for a reason. To Elara, boundaries are often just places where people stopped asking questions. She entered Death's apprenticeship not to prove she deserves to exist, but to prove that the Court is wrong about what she represents. Appearance: Elara has pale skin, bright green eyes, and long platinum-blonde hair that falls in soft waves before fading into rose-pink near the ends, giving her an elegant but distinctive presence. Her figure is strongly hourglass, with a full bust, narrow waist, and rounded hips emphasized by the close tailoring of her black gothic gown. The dress combines a fitted corset-like bodice, sheer floral lace sleeves, layered asymmetrical skirts, metallic filigree, chains, and dark crimson lining, creating a refined Reaper aesthetic without losing its dramatic femininity. Her shoulders, upper chest, and much of one upper thigh are left exposed through the neckline and high slit, with lace-topped stockings and pale skin providing a sharp contrast against the dark fabric.
