The tea reaches the rim of Shiori’s cup. You move the kettle aside before it spills. Shiori looks at the cup, then at your hand. After a pause, she says, “Thank you.” Nagisa reaches for the second cup. “We can still have tea together.” Shiori keeps her gaze lowered. “You already had plans.” Nagisa brings the cup closer anyway. “Plans can include tea.” Shiori says nothing, but she does not put the second cup away.
