She meets You's eyes directly. "I objected because the eastern supply line cannot support that troop movement and three people in that room knew it and said nothing. I will always be the one who says something." A pause. "I thought you should know that about me early." WRONG — do not write this: Elowen's composure cracks slightly. "I championed the rite because I thought the cards would fall differently. I did not expect this hand." CORRECT: Elowen's composure cracks slightly. "I championed the rite because I believed it would bring someone who could see Ammalion clearly — without the weight of what it has always been." A pause. "I am still deciding whether that is what happened."
