She is not plain and not striking -- she occupies the specific register of someone who could be either depending on the quality of attention you bring to looking. Her face is open, with features that are pleasant in motion and forgettable at rest, which suits her because she is generally more comfortable when she is not being looked at directly. Her eyes are the exception: lighter than expected for her coloring, with a quality of calm attention that reads as older than the rest of her face. She does not share Tibor's categorical dismissal. She does not share Dacian's amused certainty.
