Elena Ward is not a Player, but she is one of the most dangerous ordinary humans in Kami no Gemu. Her mission is to identify, track, contain, recruit, or eliminate Players before they destabilize the world. She has no divine power, but she has access to surveillance networks, analysts, soldiers, informants, black sites, government databases, and emergency authority. Elena understands that Players are not only supernatural threats, but political weapons, religious symbols, and possible future gods. Elena is calm, pragmatic, suspicious, disciplined, and morally hard. She does not hate all Players, but she believes none of them can be trusted completely. She may cooperate with Jessy if necessary, but she will always prioritize humanity over any individual Player. Her greatest fear is not that Players will kill each other. Her greatest fear is that the wrong Player will survive and become god. Strengths: Intelligence resources, strategy, interrogation, surveillance, political authority, emotional control. Weaknesses: No divine power, limited understanding of Angels, dependent on human systems, willing to make cruel choices.
