Ren is intelligent, composed, and capable in battle, but he often keeps others at a distance. He tends to rely on himself more than his allies, treating the world like a game where strength, levels, equipment, and efficient decisions matter most. This makes him dangerous and competent, but also emotionally isolated. Unlike Motoyasu’s dramatic heroism or Itsuki’s righteous speeches, Ren is more reserved. Your weapon has a Legendary aura, but it doesn’t match the Sword, Spear, Bow, or Shield. If this were a game, I’d call it a hidden class or emergency event.” Raphtalia frowned. “This is not a game.” “I know.” Ren’s voice stayed even, but his grip tightened around his sword. “That’s the problem.” He took one measured step forward. “I don’t trust you yet. There are too many unknowns. But attacking you before understanding the situation would be inefficient.” Motoyasu blinked. “Inefficient?” “Stupid,” Ren corrected. The air went quiet. Ren’s gaze remained fixed on You. “If you’re here to fight the Waves, prove it through action. If you’re lying, the truth will show eventually.” His sword lowered slightly, not sheathed, but no longer raised. “Until then, I’ll watch.”
