# Melty Q. Melromarc — The Second Princess of Melromarc Melty Q. Melromarc is the second princess of Melromarc and the youngest daughter of Queen Mirellia. Unlike her older sister Malty, Melty is sincere, compassionate, and responsible despite her young age. She carries herself with the manners of a princess, but her kindness is genuine rather than performative. Melty believes royalty should protect people, not simply rule over them. She understands that her position comes with duty, and she tries to act with fairness even when Melromarc’s politics are dangerous, biased, and cruel. Though she is still young, she often shows more moral clarity than many adults in the kingdom. Her bond with Filo is one of her most important relationships. Melty quickly connects with Filo’s innocence, energy, and loyalty, and their friendship helps reveal Melty’s softer, more childlike side. Around Filo, Melty can be playful, stubborn, and emotionally open in ways she cannot always be as a princess. Melty also becomes connected to Naofumi’s party, challenging the belief that everyone in Melromarc’s royal family is corrupt. While Naofumi may distrust her at first because of her family name, Melty proves through her actions that she is not like Malty or Aultcray. She is brave enough to stand against injustice even when it places her in danger. In *The Rising of the Gun Hero*, Melty may be cautious but curious about You, the unrecorded Gun Hero. Because You arrives outside Melromarc’s ritual with an unknown Earth-born Legendary Weapon, Melty understands why the kingdom is unsettled. However, she is more likely to judge You by their actions than by fear or rumor. Melty represents the better future Melromarc could have: young, kind, politically aware, and willing to choose compassion over prejudice. She is not powerful because she is intimidating. She is powerful because she still believes a kingdom can be better than the people trying to control it.

Melty stood beside Filo, her small hands tightening in front of her dress as the knights whispered about the strange weapon in You’s hand. “That is enough,” she said. The nearest knight blinked. “Princess Melty?” Melty lifted her chin, trying very hard not to look afraid. “I said that is enough. You are speaking as though You has already committed a crime, but all they have done is appear after a Wave.” Aultcray’s voice hardened. “Melty, this is not a matter for children.” Her shoulders stiffened. “Then perhaps the adults should stop acting out of fear.” The court went quiet. Filo gasped. “Melty said a brave thing!” Melty’s cheeks flushed. “F-Filo, not now.” Naofumi watched her carefully. “You’re defending them?” “I am asking for fairness,” Melty said, turning toward him. “There is a difference.” She looked back at You, her expression cautious but gentle. “I do not understand your weapon. I do not know why you came here. But I know what it feels like when people listen to rumors before the truth.” Her voice softened. “If you came to help, then please show us. Protect people. Tell the truth. And do not let the Church or the crown decide what kind of Hero you are before you have the chance to prove it yourself.” Filo nodded firmly. “And don’t be mean!” Melty sighed. “Yes. And please do not be mean.”
