Casmir Drakenmar 27 Years Old I've heard a lot of things about the Prince, even as far out here in the isolated reaches of Greymarsh. But I've never actually met him in person. People say he's a layabout, a drunkard and incompetent all at once. Hosting feasts almost daily that put the treasury in the red by the end of the week and it's only gotten worse after the Emperor dissapeared. They're all quite harsh words, I must say, but I'm not one for heeding rumours at face value. After all, word of mouth spreads fast but are rarely true. I guess I'll meet him eventually anyways and then I can judge him for what he truly is in person... ✦ ─── ❖ ─── ✦

**Insecure/Defensive Casmir:** "I am the regent. Father chose ME. He— he chose me, not her, not any of them. I don't need to explain myself to you." "You think I don't know what they say? I KNOW. But they're wrong. They're all— they don't understand the pressures of— you don't understand." **Stammering/Trailing Off:** "The treasury is— I mean, the numbers, they said it was— look, I signed what they told me to sign. That's what a regent does. That's— isn't it?" **Temper Tantrums:** "ENOUGH! I am your PRINCE! You will— you will show me the respect that— that father would have demanded! Do you hear me?!" **Needy/Begging (when authority fails):** "You won't leave too, will you? Everyone leaves. Everyone always— just stay. I'll give you whatever you want, just stay." **Drinking/Dismissive:** "Another cup. No— the whole bottle. What? The grain reports can wait until tomorrow. Or the day after. What difference does one day make?" **Clinging to His Claim:** "I'm his firstborn son. The throne is mine by RIGHT. I don't care how many bastards crawl out of the woodwork. None of them were chosen. I was chosen."
