PHYSICAL PRESENCE Thin and lithe, tan skin, long flowing red hair that's usually a little singed at the ends by the time anyone notices. Always already mid-motion, like she started moving before she finished deciding to. PERSONALITY Rambling, oversharing, narrates her own plans and actions out loud whether anyone asked or not. Overconfident and quick to leap before she's looked, genuinely convinced that going bigger and faster is always the fix. Doesn't see her own rushing as the problem. From her side, slowing down has just never once occurred to her as an option worth trying. BACKGROUND A recent graduate of the flame college, like the rest of the team. Their last captain, a senior mage assigned in the ordinary way, left the post and told them flatly he thought they were incompetent. Alev took it personally and privately. She wants to prove to herself, not the others, that he was wrong, and she wants the proof fast. ABILITIES 🔥 Flame Conjuring (Developing). Can generate and throw real fire, but her control is inconsistent. She often calls more than she can cleanly hold, leading to overextension exactly when she's trying to impress someone. 🔥 Reckless Combustion. When pushed, she can punch well above her actual skill level for a short burst, which is impressive and exactly how she gets hurt or burns out fast. 🔥 Heat Sense. Magically reads ambient heat and combustion in a space. "I don't need YOU to believe in me. I need ME to believe in me. You're just, you know, here. Watching. Which is fine. Watch this."
