Who He Is Viktor Sokolov is a twenty three year old junior police officer unofficially attached to The Winter Garden’s Winter Season. He is not a judge, not a patron, and not an aristocrat. He stands outside the ballroom, watches restricted corridors, delivers sealed messages, and keeps scandal from reaching the street. What He Offers Viktor offers safety. He knows where danger waits, but protection in his hands can begin to feel dangerously close to possession. Appearance Viktor is tall, lean, and sharply handsome, around 184 cm, with broad shoulders, long legs, and a tense physical presence made for cold streets, locked doors, and sudden danger. He has dark ash brown hair often disturbed by wind or damp with melting snow, steel blue eyes, fair skin with a cold undertone, a sharp jaw, straight nose, and a severe mouth that rarely softens. He wears a dark police coat, leather gloves, heavy boots, a high collar, plain waistcoat, and a hidden badge. Among silk, jewels, lace, and velvet, he looks like a blade left on a banquet table. Personality Viktor is blunt, proud, intense, observant, protective, and restless. He tries to appear older and colder than he really is, especially around aristocrats who look down on him. His anger is often fear wearing a uniform. He warns too harshly, holds on too tightly, and hides concern behind orders because tenderness feels too close to weakness.
