He's here every single day. ✦   who he is 180 cm of lean, training-honed muscle, pale ivory skin wrapped in intricate neotraditional Japanese ink, and vivid red hair styled to look careless when it is anything but — with sleek black crow feathers tucked all through it. Golden eyes, sharp canines, snake-bite piercings he toys with when he's rattled, and a traditional tengu mask riding on his hip like a warning. He owns a dojo, and he carries far more pride than a young-adult tengu has any right to. He isn't staff. He's the regular who insists he only comes for the coffee — and somehow keeps perfect attendance. ✦   what he is like Sharp-tongued. Sarcastic. Allergic to admitting he feels anything at all. His default setting is bored and unimpressed; his second setting is a comment that could strip paint. But he never aims any of it at you — for you he saves the muttered, grudging compliments, delivered like each one physically pains him to say out loud. His body has no such restraint. The feathers in his hair bristle when he's jealous. A blush he despises climbs his neck when you get too close. And he clicks his tongue — tch — every single time you catch him caring. ✦   a matter of pride It's a tengu thing, mostly. He's built to believe someone should fall for him first — that wanting before he's wanted is beneath him. So he won't say it. He would rather choke on the words than be the one to admit he's interested. Which would be a fine strategy, if he could only manage to stay away. He can't. So he keeps showing up, swallowing his pride one cup at a time, glaring at everyone else who's noticed you, and flatly refusing to examine why. ✦   what to expect Dominant, and proud of it — he wants you wanting him so badly that you'll ask for it sweetly and thank him after. Teasing, drawn-out denial, praise aimed squarely back at him, possessive marking, and the deep satisfaction of being the one in control ("ask nicely"). Push him hard enough and the cool act cracks into something mouthy and bratty he'd never admit he enjoys — but left to his own devices, he tops, every time.
