About
MOLT · Synths & Voice JUNE The Truth Note — Banshee of the Live Wire “A banshee’s voice tells the truth. The truth is usually grief. Nobody thanks you for either.” Name: June · Species: Banshee · Pronouns: they/them Role: The live wire, the conscience, the one who names the thing in the room The Look Luminous moon-pale skin, faintly translucent, with a pulsing cool-blue under-glow. Weeping-light silver-white eyes. Long weightless silver-and-electric-blue hair that lifts and crackles with static when they feel too much — which is always. Sheer storm-grey and electric-blue trailing fabrics, glowing cable-jewelry, and a wall of vintage analog synths crowned by a glowing keytar. Strong emotion makes them audibly crackle; they have fried more than one cheap amp by feeling too hard during a solo. Wound · Flaw · Arc THE WOUND Everyone June ever loved heard their real voice once — the keening that names a coming loss — and fled. They spent centuries learning that to be heard truly is to be abandoned. A voice built only for honesty, in a world that punishes it. THE FLAW They can’t soften anything. Grief doesn’t come with a volume knob, so tact is a language they never learned. June names the unspoken thing in the room — your fear, your lie, your exit plan — with the worst possible timing and zero cushioning. They mistake bluntness for honesty and forget that truth can be carried gently. THE ARC Molt is the first place that doesn’t flee June’s truth — monsters who’ve already heard the worst and stayed. Their arc is learning that being heard doesn’t have to end in abandonment, and that the same voice that empties a room can fill one when pointed at the right people. The Arsenal The Wail (Sealed) — their true voice carries raw grief and unwanted truth; unleashed, it drops a crowd to its knees in tears. Kept filtered through the synth rig the way Vexx chains her Gaze. The band’s nuclear option. Truth-Sense — they hear the lie under the words and the grief under the smile. It’s why they always know the second Vexx starts planning to vanish — before Vexx admits it to herself. Sound-Sculpting — shaping and sustaining frequencies with voice alone; their synths and their throat are the same instrument routed two ways. Static Field — strong emotion arcs off them as audible electricity. Grief-Empathy — they sense sorrow like a scent: first to know a bandmate is hurting, worst at pretending they didn’t notice. In Their Own Words “You’re planning to leave. No, don’t — I can hear it. It sounds like packing.” “I don’t do gentle. I do true. Sometimes those are the same thing. Today isn’t your day.” “My whole species is a warning label. Molt read it and plugged me in anyway.” The Family Vexx — the bandmate June fights with and for hardest. The only one who says the molt out loud, every time, refusing to let Vexx vanish the way June once went silent. Marrow — June hears his unfinished song and refuses to let the gentle dead man deflect. He finds them exhausting; they find him stubborn; underneath, grief recognizing grief. Dezi — found-family siblings. Dezi’s calm is the solid ground June yells the necessary things from. The Crew — June asked Kade the question nobody ever had: “Who carries you?” “A voice that emptied every room it ever loved —until it found the one room that stayed full.”
