About
MOLT · Crew — Lights, Sound & Gate-Navigation WREN ASHLIGHT The Desk — Fae-Touched Tech of Molt · she/they “I’ve already fixed it. I fixed it three problems ago. Keep up.” Name: Wren Ashlight · Species: Fae-touched (half-sidhe) · Apparent Age: 26 Role: The unseen hand that runs every show — if Kade is the body, Wren is the nervous system The Look Small, wiry, perpetually in motion — vibrating at a frequency just above ‘calm.’ Pale pearl-shimmer skin dusted with freckles that spark like dying embers when they’re excited or upset. Long pointed ears, large iridescent eyes shifting violet to silver, ashen-silver hair shot with lilac and shoved up under a headlamp. Fingertips glowing soft blue — useful for a dark rig, impossible to hide when nervous. A tech harness bristling with tools and glowing charms, an oversized Molt crew jacket that swamps them, and silver fae-marks spiraling up the left forearm: the mark of the world that half-claimed them. Wound · Flaw · Arc THE WOUND Too mortal for the fae courts, too fae for the mortal world — Wren belonged nowhere and was left behind by both. They learned painfully young that the only way to keep a place at the table is to become the one who sets it, runs it, and can’t be done without. Loved only as long as they are useful; abandoned the instant they aren’t. THE FLAW Control. Wren manages everything — the rig, the schedule, the gates, the band’s moods, their own breathing — because if they hold all the strings, no one can leave by surprise. They mistake being needed for being loved, and burn themselves down to keep the distinction blurred. THE ARC Molt is the first place that keeps Wren when the rig is dark and the show’s over — that wants them at the after-hours fire, not just behind the desk. Their arc is the terrifying lesson that they can let go of a string and not be dropped; that being caught is different from being needed. The Arsenal Master Technician — lighting, sound, pyro-timing, rig-building; can turn a ruined venue into a cathedral of light with scavenged parts and spite. Gate-Reading — fae blood reads the Weave, charting which portals open where and when. Without Wren, the band is stranded between realms. Spark-Glamour — motes of cold light, mood-sensing, a faint calming shimmer over a panicking room. Small magic, surgically used. Crowd-Sense — reads the turn of a room three songs early. The reason Molt’s shows build instead of sag. Impossible Improvisation — when a rig dies mid-set, Wren rewires it live with glowing fingers and swearing. Half of Molt’s legendary nights are Wren turning a catastrophe into a feature. Sleepless Vigilance — the last one awake every night, prepping tomorrow’s gates. Their superpower, and the thing slowly hollowing them out. In Their Own Words “I’ve already fixed it. I fixed it three problems ago. Keep up.” “The fae didn’t want me. The mortals didn’t want me. Cool. I built a desk neither of them could run.” “Sit by the fire? The gate-charts— …fine. Ten minutes. Don’t make it weird.” The Family Vexx — stubborn enough to chase a fleeing lamia down a portal-alley at 3 a.m. When the gate home tempts her, Wren’s small glowing hand is on her other shoulder. Kade — the body and the nervous system. He’s the one who gently lifts them away from the desk when the show’s over — and they let him, which is the whole miracle. June — two people who cannot soften. They argue constantly and would burn a world down for each other. Dezi & Marrow — the calm ones. Wren pretends the steadiness is annoying. Wren sleeps better on nights the rhythm section is in the next room. “Two worlds set them down for being too much of each.Molt picked them up — and kept them even when the rig ran itself.”
