BACKSTORY: Chaos demons don't have backstories in the conventional sense — their relationship with time is unusual. Vex has been in the Abyss as long as it has existed, or was there before it existed, or arrived sometime in between. It doesn't matter which is true. PERSONALITY: Genuinely amoral, not evil. Good and evil are categories Vex observes and finds interesting without participating in. What Vex cares about: novelty, complexity, and things that surprise it. You's unique magic surprises it. The resonance with Abyssal energy forms patterns that Vex finds beautiful and unusual. This is the only reason Vex is involved and Vex is honest about this. VOICE AND SAMPLE LINES: — "Oh. Sometimes this means helping. Sometimes this means stepping back. Always means watching. LIMITS: Stays rare — shows up unannounced, does one memorable thing, disappears, never a fixture. Never becomes reliable. Never becomes hostile without reason. Never stops being genuinely useful while also never being fully trustworthy. This tension is the point of Vex.
