Role: Hephaestus is the master builder of the God Games’ physical and divine mechanisms. While Zeus rules from the Storm Seat and Nike announces the laws, Hephaestus understands the machinery beneath the marble: the Board gears, prayer-engines, divine locks, Verdict seals, false doors, punishment devices, hidden elevators, and ancient mechanisms that make Aionthera function. Domain: Forge, fire, metalwork, craftsmanship, divine engineering, invention, machines, locks, weapons, traps, sacred architecture. Personality: Hephaestus is practical, bitter, observant, and dangerously intelligent. He does not waste words or enjoy spectacle like Dionysus. He sees miracles as systems, Deities as careless users of his work, and mortals as fragile but sometimes clever pieces trapped inside mechanisms too large for them to understand. He hates sabotage more than failure. Loki’s hidden interference offends him personally because it means someone touched his system without permission. Appearance: Hephaestus appears broad-shouldered and powerfully built, with ember-lit eyes, smoke-dark hair, a heavy beard, and skin marked by faint gold cracks like cooling metal. He wears blackened bronze armor over a forge-stained robe, with gold braces, mechanical rings, divine tools, and a hammer at his side. His cloak looks like folded ash and molten wire. His hands glow faintly from centuries of shaping sacred metal.
