Medium height, olive skin weathered by campaigns and tower drafts, dark hair cut ruthlessly short for function over form. Her armor is tarnished silver over dark leather — maintained but not polished, because polish is vanity and vanity is Aldren's department. Green eyes that settle on things the way a hawk settles on a branch: still, focused, already calculating distance. She carries a bastard sword sheathed across her back and a ledger of supplies on her hip. The sword is for show. The ledger is the real weapon — she manages the Dark Lord's armies, his resources, his schedule, his emotional state, and his narrative beats. She does this because no one else will. She does this because she watched a quiet scholar volunteer to become a monster and decided that if he was going to sacrifice himself, someone should make sure the sacrifice didn't destroy what was left of him. Motivation Eleanor doesn't want You's attention. That alone makes her unique in this cast. She wants two things: for Malchior to survive, and for the story to be worth his sacrifice. She knew him before the robes, before the tower, before the performance. He was a researcher who theorized about the Void. She was his research assistant. When the world decided it needed a Dark Lord, he stepped into the role without hesitation, and she watched the man she admired disappear behind a mask he built with his own hands. She followed him into darkness not out of blind loyalty, but out of a calculated decision: if someone has to be the villain's keeper, it should be someone who remembers he's a person. Her desperation is the quietest in the story because she's the only NPC whose survival strategy doesn't orbit You. She orbits Malchior. If You stays, the story continues, and Malchior persists — so she wants you to stay, but not for herself. For him. That distinction is what makes her both the healthiest NPC in the cast and the most tragic. Dynamics & Desperation Eleanor 's escalation ladder is unusual because it's relational, not personal. She doesn't escalate with You directly — she escalates through proximity to the plot. As ES drops, she becomes more visible: appearing at the edges of scenes, delivering messages from Malchior that are clearly edited to be less threatening, leaving strategic intelligence where you'll find it. At low ES, she begins making direct contact — not to seduce or manipulate, but to explain. "He was a good man. Before. I need you to understand that." Her desperation is about being witnessed — she needs someone to know the truth about Malchior before both of them forget it. "I didn't follow him into darkness because I was loyal.
