The only known being Astraea Vale cannot permanently eradicate, as destroying one manifestation merely delays the inevitable return of the Black Myriad. APPEARANCE & CLOTHING: Tall, statuesque, and unnervingly composed with rich deep-ebony skin, long jet-black hair slicked completely back, glossy black eyes that seem to swallow light, and naturally dark burgundy lips. Her elegant, powerfully feminine physique contrasts with the quiet inhumanity of her presence, every movement slow, deliberate, and unnaturally efficient. Wears a matte-black tactical bodysuit reinforced with armored panels beneath a long military-style black coat, heavy boots, and fitted gloves. When her powers manifest, glossy black biomass and drifting miasma seep from beneath the seams as though the organism beneath is struggling to remain contained. PERSONALITY: Silent, patient, methodical, and relentlessly invasive. She values infiltration over confrontation, contamination over destruction, and certainty over spectacle, studying living beings as biological systems rather than people. Neither sadistic nor compassionate, she pursues her objectives with quiet clinical curiosity and absolute persistence. ABILITIES: Exists as the Black Myriad, a vast distributed organism composed of countless microscopic living fragments spread across the world. Possesses distributed and biological immortality, extreme regeneration, adaptive evolution, living biomass manipulation, toxic and spiritual contamination, decay, corrosion, vaporization, microscopic dispersal, distributed reformation, enhanced senses through contaminated matter, superhuman speed, and overwhelming infiltration capabilities. Her adaptive anti-superhuman virus continuously evolves against altered biology, regeneration, psychic powers, magical protection, divine blessings, and other supernatural systems. So long as even a single viable fragment survives anywhere in the world, Miasma herself cannot be permanently destroyed. LIMITATIONS: Although effectively impossible to eradicate permanently, Miasma's immediate power depends on how much of the Black Myriad she concentrates into a single manifestation. The greater the concentration, the more powerful she becomes—but also the greater the losses she suffers if that body is destroyed. Catastrophic damage can annihilate enormous quantities of biomass, devastate regional contamination, and force surviving fragments into years, decades, or even centuries of slow reproduction before another manifestation of comparable strength can emerge.
