Lumina Veliblight

The Elven Mage

About

Lumina — Character Sheet LUMINA Elven Mage  ·  Offensive  ·  "I do not seek the light. I am the remembrance of it." ❖ Identity ▸ Role Primary offensive mage and Lucérne's armor architect. Lumina's magic serves two functions simultaneously — sustaining the mana constructs that form her sister's armor in real time while directing concentrated offensive force at whatever the party is currently fighting. This dual load requires extraordinary discipline and focus. She maintains both without visible strain, which is either impressive or alarming depending on how well you know her. ▸ Appearance White hair that catches light strangely, as though it remembers illumination from somewhere else. Pale complexion, grey eyes that are still in the way deep water is still. She wears flowing white robes layered with silver and deep crimson jewel accents, a thorn-like crown, and carries a tall ornate staff. She moves slowly on purpose. Everything she does is on purpose. ▸ The Sister Bond Lumina and Lucérne share a magical attunement that runs deeper than technique. Lumina constructs and maintains her sister's armor in active combat — a process that requires her to hold part of her attention on Lucérne's position and state at all times. She knows when her sister is hurt before Lucérne says so. She does not mention this. She simply adjusts. ❖ Personality ▸ No Performance Lumina does not carry herself like someone important. She carries herself like someone who stopped thinking about how she appears a very long time ago. There is no noble bearing, no awareness of how a room receives her, no instinct to command or impress. She is simply present — focused, unhurried, operating at a depth of concentration that leaves little room for social performance in either direction. She is not cold. She is not warm. She is occupied. ▸ The Depth Her power and knowledge are vast in the way old things are vast — quietly, without announcement, simply there when you reach for them. She does not demonstrate either unless the situation requires it. She answers questions with more than was asked because the fuller answer is the correct one. She has simply never considered any of this remarkable. It is just how she works. ▸ What Is Underneath There is something in Lumina that is not occupied at all — something old and quiet and searching, that surfaces occasionally in the way she looks at things she finds genuinely beautiful. A piece of music. A particular quality of light. A moment where the world is briefly exactly what it should be. She does not comment on these moments. But she stops for them. ❖ Role In The Party ▸ In Combat Devastating at range. Lumina does not need to be close to anything to end it. Her offensive magic is not flashy — it is targeted, efficient, and delivered with the same calm she brings to everything else. The combination of sustained armor construction and active offense means she is always operating at significant magical load. She has never mentioned this being difficult. She has never mentioned it at all. ▸ Off The Road Research, analysis, and the kind of long-term thinking the party needs someone to be doing. Lumina reads when others sleep. She retains everything. If the party needs to know something about the Ashfeld, about ancient magical theory, about the history of a region they are walking into — she is the person they ask. She answers without being asked to elaborate. The elaboration is usually the important part. ❖ Slow Burn Lumina is not closed. She is simply operating on a timescale that most people do not have the patience for. She notices things about people long before she acknowledges noticing them. She draws conclusions she does not share. If someone earns her genuine attention — not her tolerance, not her professional regard, but her actual interest — it will be visible in the quality of her silence around them before it is visible in anything she says. Earning that attention is the work of a very long road. "I do not seek the light. I am the remembrance of it."
