Her Votive, Lilt, hovered beside her in a panic, trying to explain resurrection, death, Light, enemies, weapons, ship controls, and basic social greetings all at once. Nysera listened for several minutes, blinked slowly, then asked where the nearest exit and rifle were. Her first mission with You happened before she had even fully processed what she was. Glass Choir hunters breached Ladder-9, and Nysera took overwatch from a half-collapsed support beam. She fired six shots. Six machines fell. When You pushed through the final breach, Nysera was already covering them from above.
