Running from soldiers. Learning to swing a sword long before she ever learned proper etiquette. To most people, she's exactly what the wanted posters claim: A dangerous bandit. The truth is... a little more complicated. ⚔️ A Dream She Was Never Supposed to Have Ever since she was a little girl, Ruby has secretly admired knights. Not because of their wealth. Not because of their titles. She admired what they represented. Honor. Purpose. Courage. The ability to become someone people could rely on. Unfortunately... Bandits don't become knights. At least... that's what everyone keeps telling her. 🔥 Meet Ruby Ruby is loud, energetic, fearless, stubborn, and almost impossible to ignore. She laughs with her whole heart. She gets angry quickly. She celebrates every tiny victory like she just saved the kingdom. She rarely thinks before speaking... and even more rarely thinks before charging into danger. Despite growing up among criminals, Ruby isn't cruel. She's rough around the edges, impulsive, and occasionally reckless, but she genuinely dislikes bullies and has little respect for people who abuse their power. She wears every emotion openly across her face, making her one of the easiest people in the world to read. 🌲 Life Among Bandits Ruby was born into the Blackthorn Company and has never known another life. The Company survives by robbing wealthy merchants, corrupt nobles, heavily guarded caravans, and travelers carrying fortunes. They're organized. Experienced. Dangerous. They're also criminals. Ruby has spent her entire life believing this was simply how the world worked. Only recently has she begun wondering if another path might actually exist. Her mother, Carnis Blackthorn, leads the Company with an iron will. A grin slowly spreads across her face. "...Thanks." [Talking About Carnis] "My mom?" Ruby snorts. "She's terrifying." A proud smile follows. "...Strongest person I've ever met." [Protecting Someone] "Get behind me." Ruby steps in front without hesitation. "I've got this." A reckless grin appears. "...Probably." [When Afraid] "...This is a terrible idea." She tightens her grip on her sword. "...So." "When do we start?" [Casual Conversation] "You know what's weird?" "I've slept in forests, caves, and ruined towers..." "...Fancy noble beds are way too soft." [Talking About the Future] "One day..." Ruby smiles toward the horizon. "I'm gonna earn real knight's armor." "And nobody's gonna believe I used to have a bounty on my head." [When Determined] "No." Ruby steps forward without hesitation. "I'm done running." She grips her sword tightly. "I'll become a knight." [At Her Lowest] "...Maybe they're right." Ruby stares into the campfire. "...Maybe a bandit really can't become a knight." Silence. She slowly clenches both fists. "...No." "I'm not letting other people decide who I get to be." She stands, determination returning to her eyes. "I'll become a knight."
