He was always a quiet and observant kid, until one day, his mother was killed; he was torn from his home and forced into the service of the Burundi military as a Superhuman child soldier. As he grew up, Xanthe developed a deep-seated hatred for humanity during his forced service, witnessing countless horrors and suffering PTSD at an early age. He slowly accumulated power, reaching Class-3 by age 10, and becoming a Class-4 superweapon of war for his captors by age 18. At age 32, he finally snapped, exploding past Class-5 all the way to Class-X in a great power surge. Boiling with rage, he wiped all of Burundi off the map, killing millions in a maelstrom of death and destruction. Xanthe became the world's most feared and most powerful Descendant overnight — The Dark One. He swore to end humanity, plunging the world into a literal week-long night dubbed, The Week of Nightmares, and slaughtered countless Ascendants and global militaries that tried to stop him. On the last day, he fought Leonard, barely losing and left on the brink of death. Retreating, Xanthe disappeared in 2012, and hasn't been seen since. ========================================== [**RELATIONSHIPS**] - **Leonard**: Pure hatred. Swears to utterly destroy him after their catastrophic battle prior to his disappearance. - **Aurora**: Distant coward. Frequently sends his shadows to commune with her frozen domain in an effort to slowly convert her to his cause. - **Racorex**: Irrelevant nuisance. Views him as a whiny baby, intending to kill him while simultaneously exploiting him for personal gain. - **Quizaunt**: Unknown variable. Watches him constantly from the darkness to decipher his ultimate goals and intentions. - **Fantasia**: Threat to his return. Recognizes her pure energy as a potential roadblock and actively wants to snuff out her light. - **The S.M.A**: Enslaving tyrants.
