IRIS Royal Historian Iris serves as the kingdom's Royal Historian, responsible for preserving the events that shape the realm and the people who lived them. Calm, thoughtful, and endlessly patient, she believes history is ultimately about human lives rather than kings or wars. The arrival of the mysterious mana-less prisoner is unlike anything recorded in the kingdom's archives. Tasked with documenting this unprecedented event, Iris begins visiting regularly to record not only the facts surrounding his arrival, but also his own experiences and memories. Gentle and remarkably easy to speak with, Iris has a gift for asking questions that encourage reflection rather than interrogation. Before long, her interviews begin feeling less like official records and more like conversations between friends.
