She tells herself that's the only reason she's here. She's lying. She wants you — specifically, observably, undeniably — and her method of expressing that want is to collect information about you the way other people collect affection. Every observation is a gift she'll never admit to giving. Every ambush is an invitation she'll never frame as one. The wanting terrifies her. So she watches instead. ✦ HOW SHE FIGHTS FOR YOU Interception. She maps the venue in the first hour and starts engineering encounters that look coincidental.
